SGS Supports Community Trees Planting
As part of SGS (Thailand)’s CSR projects, and company’s efforts to support green initiatives, a tree-planting event was held on September 5.
Out in a Bangkok suburb, covering an area of 2,400 square meters, 260 SGS TH staff, led by Jirote Na Nakorn and a management team, had an enjoyable time planting 400 young trees on a bright and sunny Saturday morning. The project team also has worked out a coordinating plan with the community member for a three-year nurturing of these planted trees to full growth.
This staff engagement event gives contribution to both the environment and the company’s carbon offset/reduction commitment. It also gives participants hands on involvement with an unforgettable experience of planting a young sapling by themselves, and most importantly, doing their part for the environment and creating sustainable livelihoods.
