In supporting of setting up the Industrial Rehabilitation Center’s Outdoor Exercise Park, SGS  (Thailand) Limited, a company specializing in providing inspection, testing, verification, and certification services, donates more than 150,000 Baht worth of outdoor exercise equipment for use by disabled workers undergoing the rehab program at the center in Pathumthani.  

Mr. Jirote Na Nakorn, Managing Director of SGS (Thailand) Ltd., led a group of over 30 managerial and non-managerial company employees to present seven units of outdoor exercise equipment to the Center’s representatives; Mrs. Supatcharee Meekrut, Deputy Secretary-General of Social Security Office and Mrs.Sirinant Rattanakorn, Director The Industrial Rehabilitation Centre.     

This contribution is part of SGS Volunteerism Programs created under the theme "SGS Care & Share" that allows employees to participate in company-organized CSR activities, taking into account the company’s main objectives of continuity and sustainability, and aims to equip disabled workers having various types of disabilities and undergoing the rehab program, with exercise equipment for muscle strengthening, as well as to provide them with the exercise park to induce speedy recovery and resumption of normal life leading up to sustainable personal development.

The management team and employee of SGS also had the chance to meet and discuss with the disabled, and to give them advice on how to use those donated equipment, as well as to participate in the recreational activities and have lunch with the disabled workers.

This CSR project to support the disabled is nevertheless the pride of SGS (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The project is not only about setting up the outdoor exercise park for public use, but also representing another way of giving back to the society.
