SGS Thailand and Thai Food Processors Association Organize Training on Food Safety Standards
The Systems and Services Certification division of SGS, together with the Thai Food Processors’ Association (TFPA), conducted a training program for the food manufacturing industry on October 9, 2009. Held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, around 180 companies attended the training.
The training discussed new food safety standards including Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000, Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 220, British Retail Consortium’s Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 5, International Food Standard (IFS) Version 5 and Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000.The speaker for the training was Teeranat Limpichotikul, Food Segment Manager of SGS Systems and Services Certification in Thailand.
The Thai Food Processors’ Association was established in 1970, and their members include the Tuna Processors’ Group, Seafood Processors’ Group, Pineapple Processors’ Group, Fruit and Vegetable Processors’ Group, Sweet Corn Processors’ Group and the Food Ingredients and Ready-to-Eat Processors’ Group.
