Molex Thailand is a subsidiary of Molex Incorporated, a global manufacturer of electronic components, including electronic interconnection products and systems, switches, fiber optic interconnection systems and integrated products. Established in 1938, Molex Incorporated is based in Lisle, Illinois, and currently operates 43 manufacturing locations in 18 countries.
International Standards for Quality Management Systems ISO 9001:2008 specifies the prerequisites for a Quality Management System; a company seeking certification must establish, implement and continuously improve its QMS. ISO 9001:2008 also requires the company or organization to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Supplementing the ISO 9001 standard, ISO 13485 and ISO 13488 are standards specific to medical device quality management systems. Additional requisites of these standards include design and process (including environmental) controls, special processes, record retention, traceability and regulatory actions, which are particularly vital to the medical devices industry.
ISO/TS 16949 is a worldwide automotive standard developed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), a group comprised of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers (General Motors, Ford, BMW, PSA Citroen, Volkswagen, Renault, Fiat) and their respective trade associations. The standard is based on the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, AVSQ (Italy), EAQF (France), VDA 6 (Germany) and QS-9000 (U.S.), integrated into a single standard. ISO/TS 16949:2002 can be applied to company sites worldwide, wherever automobiles, or their parts and components are manufactured.
